Day #325 Crisps pg. 28 entertaining in the raw

June 13, 2010

Today was such a fun day! I went to a Women’s Whole Health Seminar. I met so many nice ladies. I let them try the Blueberry Cheesecake and most of them really loved it. Some of the ladies even tried the green smoothie that I made in front of them. They enjoyed that too. I am grateful for all the info I received today.

I decided to make the crisps for a quick recipe. I was going to do one with beets, but I am hoping to find golden beets and candy cane beets, if I can. I do have the regular beets. I still haven’t been able to find fava beans either.

The crisps were easy to make. I cut the recipe down into 1/4 of the recipe.

Crisps Ingredients
pine nuts
lemon juice
nutritional yeast
salt
water
thyme
scallions

I processed first five ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Thyme and scallions were added then pulsed until combined. The mixture was spread on Teflex sheets; they are dehydrating now.

I am getting so close to the end of this project. I just keep thinking that I have loved this so much, I am looking forward to the next 40 days. I think I will finish all recipes in this book and everyday raw. I only have like 2 recipes left in everyday raw. These books mean so much to me, they have taught me so much about life, myself and the things that are important to me. It has taken much dedication to do this project. I keep thinking about how much I have grown in my confidence in the kitchen and the belief in myself that I can accomplish whatever I really feel I can do.

I will not give up!
