Day #83 Golden Tortilla Chips pg. 51 everyday raw

October 16, 2009

When I started making this recipe I felt like I made this before. I think that I have, but I can’t remember when or where I got the recipe. Christian helped me tonight with the measurements. I love his help in the kitchen. I think he will be the best cook ever one day! I know he enjoys preparing food, just as much as I do. I started making food at his age. It was macaroni and cheese, salad and toast, but hey it was a start.

I decided to make this recipe so I could have the fajitas tomorrow night or Sunday night. The recipe sounds so good. I decided not to make the Tortillas round, I felt like having squares. I prefer squares most of the time. Even my diamond on my engagement ring is square (princess cut), although I don’t wear it. I don’t support the diamond industry. I would never have chosen a diamond for the engagement ring, if I would have known what blood is shed for them. Sorry for the subject change, I know I do that alot. I used my new spatula. I love that thing. Gosh it is such a breeze to spread any batter out now that I have it. I am grateful for it!

The tortillas need to be scored where I want the cuts to be. I am waiting for 30 minutes according to the directions, then I will mark them.

Golden Tortillas Chips Ingredients
flax meal
frozen corn (M.K. says that frozen is better than fresh)
water
olive oil
cumin
red onion
garlic
salt
lime juice
cayenne (oh no :(, just realized I forgot this)
chili powder

“Our limitations and success will be based, most often, on your own expectations for ourselves. What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon.” -Denis Waitley

This rings true in my being. I am always trying to make each day a better day than the day before. I know that I can make each and everyday the best ever! It is only up to me!
