Day #44 Strawberry Sorbet pg. 134 everyday raw
September 7, 2009
Today I celebrated Labor Day. I worked! I didn’t think I would be there as long as I was, but I had to make so many things. It was a great day. I worked from 7-4. The day flew by. It was sad because I didn’t get to see my kids that much, and Christian is getting sick. They were at my parents all day. I did get to hang out there a little. It really wasn’t my plan to be at work so long. I will have to make up a picnic day with my family soon. My dad leaves to Cali, on Monday. I am only going into work for one hour tomorrow, then I have my Chemistry Quiz. I will see how that goes. I hope it goes well, so I don’t become frustrated.
I decided to make the strawberry sorbet. I know Sabby will love it. This recipe is very similar to the strawberry jam I made a few months ago. Sabby loved it. He is always asking me to make more. I made the sorbet and it is in the refrigerator for now until tomorrow when we make it into frozen sorbet with the ice cream maker. I have had the ice cream maker for over a year, and I never use it, so tomorrow we will put it to use. It will be fun.
Strawberry Sorbet Ingredients:
fresh strawberries
agave
vanilla bean
This was so simple. I threw all the ingredients into the blender and then ran it through a strainer. I stored it in one of our recycled spaghetti jars. I love these jars. I use them for everything. Drinking, storing, and even mixing. It feels so good to recycle.
